The main collection of this museum hails from Dholbaha, a place of significant archaeological value located 30 kilometres from Hoshiarpur. Dholbaha served as pivot of the trade route and a thriving centre of cultural and religious activity. From the earliest times, it contained fossils and stone tools indicating appearance of early man. Various civilizations flourished here due to availability of resources. The collection includes fossils, stone tools, sandstone sculptures of medieval period manuscripts, medals gallery and pillars from stupa.
